Mr. Gerald Davenport, Bixby High School science teacher, along with some of his 10th, 11th, and 12th grade physics students came to North Intermediate to facilitate The Little Shop of Science for all sixth graders. Multiple science experiments were demonstrated by the high school students and then they helped the sixth graders try the experiments on their own.

Students felt the charge of static electricity. They measured the absorption rate of diapers. They saw how the force of wind could knock over a stack of cups. Using a solo cup and chain they watched the force of gravity. Thanks to Mr. Davenport and his high school students for demonstrating these and many other fun experiments for our BNI sixth graders.
