Central Intermediate fifth graders recently went to the GeoScience Center in downtown Tulsa to learn about the different areas of earth science.  Students learned about dinosaurs and fossils.  They visited the earthquake room  to learn what they are and what causes them. In the fluorescent room, students got to see black lights work to show highlights that they drew on their hands and also learned about oils and minerals that glow under ultra violet lights.  They learned about petroleum and went on a fossil dig.  Students were able to learn a lot of hands-on activities that tied into what they are currently learning about in science.
