Ms. Sallee’s Physical Science classes took a dramatic turn when students applied their knowledge of forces, motion, and energy to send marbles on a wild ride.  These eighth graders designed and constructed roller coasters that would take marbles through twists, spins, loops, and stranger things using only their mathematical skills, paper, and tape.  Students plumbed the depths of their abilities and rocketed to new heights in spite of the gravity of the challenge.  Marbles traveled express through these roller coasters with a few happy accidents along the way.  Each roller coaster had it’s own creative theme as well.  Hints to a few of them have been sprinkled into this paragraph.

The roller coasters will be displayed in the media center 12/5-12/8.
