Central Intermediate held its annual Veterans Day Celebration on Friday, November 10th.  Veterans related to our staff and students were invited to be serenaded by the Honor Choir and hear about how thankful we are for the sacrifices of their service.  4th graders decked the hallways near the gym with art work and poetry honoring our guests and 5th grade social studies classes helped with gym decor and wrote letters of thanks to give to our veterans.  Mrs. Pyles 6th grade social studies class read an acrostic poem about veterans and 4th grader Anna Founds read “In Flanders Field” by John McCrae.  We will continue to honor our veterans today, and every day, for the service they gave our country and our citizens.

“The valor and the courage of our young women and men in the armed services are a shining example to all of the world, and we owe them and their families our deepest respect.” – Bill Frist
